The Picos de Europa are a blast for nature and action lovers, not only because its alpine limestone peaks facing the brave Cantabrian Sea in the Atlantic Ocean, but also due to its enormous amount of traditional features and delicious gastronomy. There is no doubt that a trip to Northwestern Spain is for sure a must, and here they are some proposals to get the best of it, during a week long guided trip in the Picos de Europa´s.

BIRDWATCHING AT PICO

Terceira island  has the most important concentration of birds of the Azores, between endemic, subspecies and migratory, more than 200 species nest and / or seek shelter on the Azorean archipleago.  It is also a passageway for American migratory birds due to its central position in the Atlantic Ocean. This trip will also allow you to visit the colorful city of Angra do Heroismo, listed in World Heritage, to discover the volcanism of "Misterios Negros", "Algar do Carvão" or solfatares de "Furnas do Enxofre ". The lush and endemic vegetation, along the hikes, which will also allow you to observe birds. And of course, relax on the beautiful sandy beaches.

The great majority are of areas of Atlantic influence, but we will also find some species of the Mediterranean zones.
