This getaway through the unspoiled northern Coast starts in Neiva, a small seaside village surrounded by sandy beaches. Day after day, you will be walking from coastal village to coastal village, enjoying the seaside, exploring small seaports and tasting the very best of the sea gastronomic delights. At Galicia, the Spanish part of the tour, the cliffs cut the coast and at each curve, blue clear waters and vibrant fishing ports. The visit to Cies Islands, the marine-terrestrial National Park is a really a special moment, giving you time to contemplate the coast you have been exploring!

ITINERARY

DAY 1 CASTELO DO NEIVA 

Pick up by our local rep at your hotel/airport or train station in Porto. 

After meet and greet we will head to Castelo de Neiva, just 30 minutes from Porto. During this day, a member of our team will join you for a guided walk mainly between sand dunes and pine tree forests.

Overnight at the old town center of Viana do Castelo. 

DAY 2 VIANA DO CASTELO

Morning self-guided tour in old town center and fishing port area. Afternoon Costal walk to Afife. Pre-historical rock engravings, old boat shelters and the coastal landscapes are some highlights. Overnight Afife, small seaside village.

DAY 3 CROSSING BORDERS, PORTUGAL AND SPAIN

Walk along the rocky coastline following the Camino de Santiago footpath. With Ínsua fortress on the sight is almost time to cross to Spain. Not before walking through the centenary coastal pine tree forest and Minho’s riverside. Caminha is the departure port. After the boat crossing is time for an afternoon coastal walk to A Guarda, a Galician fishing town. Overnight A Guarda, Spain.

DAY 4 A GUARDA 

Morning private guided tour to A Guarda, focusing the maritime heart and soul of this community. Free afternoon, optional self-guided walk to Santa Tecla hill, you can't miss the spectacular views from the top. Overnight A Guarda, Spain. 

DAY 5 GALICIA FLAVOURS AND SAILING SUSNET 

Morning walk on the Camino de Santiago to Oia, were some nice galician tapas will help you to recover. After lunch short transfer to Baiona. Time to relax and enjoy a sunset sailing on a Yacht. 

Overnight Baiona

DAY 6 BAIONA

Free day or optional boat tour on the Rias.

Depending on the season and sea conditions it can be possible a visit to Cies Islands, the marine-terrestrial National, a true natural paradise.

If not take your time to explore the Galician village where “Pinta” a caravel from Colombo expedition first arrived in the XV right after reaching the American continent. This charming coastal village has many pleasant places to explore. Optional trip to Cies Islands

DAY 7 TRANSFER TO VIGO OR PORTO
