CAMINO DE SANTIAGO BY SEA
A different way to experience the Camino, by the Translatio Route. A marvelous maritime-fluvial journey that seeks to recreate the arrival in Galicia of the embarked body of the Apostle Santiago, after his martyrdom in Jerusalem. As its name indicates, the so-called Xacobea maritime-fluvial route through the sea of Arousa and the river Ulla. On this beautiful journey, you will get to know first-hand the spectacular landscapes of the area, such as the Carril clam crops or the mussel rafts of the Arousa estuary. In addition, you will get to know the island of Cortegada, included in the Illas Atlánticas National Maritime-Terrestrial Park, and the smaller ones of Malveira and Briñas. The jorney starts in Vila Nova de Arousa and end at Pontecruses.
